Good ole Lawro....
West Brom v West Ham

West Ham have had an outstanding season but they are out of the FA Cup and have fallen out of contention for a top-four place too.

Their season will not just peter out because they will want to give Upton Park a big send-off with their last couple of home games against Swansea and Manchester United before they move to the Olympic Stadium - but I am not sure what to expect from them at The Hawthorns.

West Brom ended a run of three straight defeats with a draw against Tottenham on Monday.

Tony Pulis' side never seem to have to wait too long to pick up a point - and when they get one decent result they tend to get two or three on the bounce.

Lawro's prediction: 2-1

AWAY BANKER THEN!!!

I'm wary of this game. WBA played well against the yiddos.

I think Pulis shoved their collective flip-flops up their presumptive arses. We'll see if they still hurt on saturday

Re: Good ole Lawro....
This one looks dodgy to me as well. He's right about west brom being a streaky team and we tend to struggle against that compact negative style they have.

The only game I see as a potential picnic is Swansea home.

Hope I'm wrong; could be the difference between getting Lacazette and not.

Re: Good ole Lawro....
WBA pushed Spurs around, there is no physical reason that we should allow the same. They are where they are in the table for a reason as are we.

We can at least reverse Mr Lawrenson's prediction.

I only said wary.........not lacking in optimism.

Could do with a Villareal goal though.

Won't be a formality but we have won 4 in row twice this year (if you include the Cup.)

That said, I appreciate the Yellow Submarine's goal, just in case we don't.

If we play to our ability we will beat this lot.

Oh and Lawrenson is a tool and the sooner he retires the better. He is just a tedious embarrassment who is stealing a living.

Re: Good ole Lawro....
I would bet odds on that if it was Liverpool in our position he would be banging on about them still VERY much in contention for a top 4, how they would be going for it blah blah blah.

I know it’s a long shot that we get that 4th spot, but I do get the feeling the likes of Lawro would much rather the status quo was restored and only the “Big” teams were challenging for the top 4 each season.

Think we can win this one, maybe not pretty due to the Pulis factor but a 0-1 Irons

Re: Good ole Lawro....
Our season's not going to peter out, but we're going to lose to WBA.

Does that mean he's going to predict wins in the rest of our games?

*starts holding breath*

3 points in the bag minimum although a draw IMO

Re: Good ole Lawro....
Considering we've only lost 6 games all season, I'm not sure why anyone would be wary of any teams.

We're as physical a team as there is in the league, so let em have it.

Re: Good ole Lawro....
What most of you and Lawro are forgetting is that we are not even guaranteed top 6 right now.
We need to win to keep in front of Liverpool and Southampton so there is plenty of reason to keep on fighting this season even if a top 4 spot is probably out of our reach.

We always struggle to beat a Tony Pulis side.

Re: Good ole Lawro....
Everyone saying west brom played well on Monday - yes they did, in the second half. But Spurs should have been 4 up by then and created lots of chances.

We need to go at them and not get bullied. We've already shown we can beat anyone, and I hope that's the team that turns up and not the other one that's also shown we can drop points against crap teams

Re: Good ole Lawro....
Complete nonsense to say WBA bullied Spurs. The fact is that WBA instead of shrinking away in the second half went at Suprs and got a result. Spurs are no shrinking violets bit it suits the pundits etc to use the term bullied rather than give credit to the way WBA upped their game and commitment to get a deserved result.

Re: Good ole Lawro....
I think all our last 4 games are winnable. Yes WBA are a strong physical side but, so are we. Bilic and his coaching staff have done well this season getting us back playing the West Ham way and apart from a few soft performances we have had a good season. I think we will nick it 1-2 tomorrow.

I'm with Dicksie on this one, 1 - 3 to the Irons. Nailed on.
